your consciousness-based education system have topped the county examinations
for the 7th time in 8 years and now rank 12th in the entire country.
How does consciousness-based education work to produce these impressive
results of the students and would these programmes work in any school,
in any country with any culture?"
Answer from Maharishi
"This is because consciousness is the basis of all aspects of
life. Like the sap in a tree it is the basis of all the leaves, of all
the flowers, of all fruits.
So consciousness is the basis of all physiology, consciousness is the
basis of all speech, all thought, all behaviour.
Because consciousness is the basic thing; stimulated from there, enlivened
from there, having the support of total Natural Law from there, everything
becomes very fruitful, very successful, without resistance in life.
Just because consciousness is the final value and generating life from
the field of , consciousness in a conscious manner, life is always blossoming
in success and progress, all that, all that, all that.
Consciousness-based education, consciousness-base medicine, consciousness-based
behaviour, consciousness-based everything.
That is Vedic, Vedic, Vedic. Vedic education. Veda means knowledge.
It is consciousness, consciousness. Pure field of knowledge is consciousness.
Any aspect of knowledge is the wave of consciousness. Any aspect of
consciousness is a wave of consciousness. So there is a saying in Vedic
literature - handle that by handling which everything will get handled.
So handle consciousness, by handling which all the expressions of consciousness
which means the whole life will be handled.
Handle the sap in a tree and it is the sap which has expressed itself
in the leaves, branches and everything of the tree.
So handle the cause in order to handle the effect. Its a very beautiful
sequential order of evolution in life. A sequential order of handling
every level of evolution in life.
So when we are handling the cause we have to handle very little, and
all the effects are handled very effortlessly. This is what the gardner
does - he handles the root to enjoy the fruit.
Handle consciousness to make success in every field of life. in the
field of the intellect, in the field of mind, in the field of senses,
in the field of behaviour.
In every field of life success by handling consciousness.
And there are seven levels of consciousness: waking, dreaming, sleeping,
Transcendental consciousness, Cosmic consciousness, God consciousness,
Unity consciousness.
Seven levels of consciousness and everyone has to have all the levels
of consciousness lively from the transcendental field of consciousness
which is easily reached through Transcendental Meditation.
And application of this value of Transcendental Meditation in the field
of administration and education and health, and all that, all of that,
make life absoluteley problem-free and prevention-oriented.
