Alex Hankey Interview

Alex Hankey completed the TM Governor Recertification Course in the Sidhaland this summer. (Recertified TM Governors are accorded by Maharishi the status of 'Doctor of World Peace'). Alex was a founding faculty member of Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, IA, USA. Alex is a PhD physicist and research scientist.

William Gilmour [WG]: Why did you decide to move to the Sidhaland?
Alex Hankey [AH]: I was living in Carlisle, and a move was overdue.

WG: What do you enjoy most about living here?
AH: I love the quality of the collective consciousness of the Sidhaland community, the coherence in the collective consciousness of the group. I have many old friends here from when I lived in the Sidhaland before, and from shared involvement in so many TM Movement projects over the years. I always find people here are so helpful and supportive. I am enjoying better support of Nature - more success in all aspects of my life.

WG: What is your main activity right now?
AH: Group practice of Transcendental Meditation and the TM-Sidhi programme in the Golden Dome is my main focus. By being with the big group, I am enjoying better experiences during Yogic Flying. I also care for my fiancee, who has M.E.

WG: Do you have any particular resolutions and ambitions for the New Year?
AH: I would like to publicise my major scientific theories in 2006, and to obtain a good professional position. I would like to gain financial self-sufficiency.

WG: What new development in the Sidhaland would you most appreciate?
AH: I’d like to see the whole community established in proper Vastu - group programme in Vastu, and living in proper Vastu.

WG: What do you expect to be doing in ten years from now and where?
AH: I intend to be a professor (possibly emeritus) at a university somewhere. I enjoyed living at Maharishi University of Management in America, and I would love to experience living in a university Vastu. I'll carry on participating in group programme, and with promoting all aspects of Maharishi's Vedic Science, especially the Maharishi Effect.
