Meditator MembershipWe are always delighted to welcome Meditators as members of the Maharishi™ European Sidhaland. Meditator membership is open to people who live locally and who would like to make use of the many facilities and attend meetings and courses at the Maharishi™ Golden Dome. The benefitsMeditate in the Dome twice a day, seven days a week free of charge. Free weekly Members Flier telling you what's on and publicising forthcoming courses and events. News, details of social events, and Members adverts and announcements. Free 6-monthly Dome pass Individual meditation checking sessions. Free weekly knowledge meetings. Special Member rates on nearly all courses How to joinWe try to keep the formalities of joining to a minimum, while ensuring that new members are fully informed of all the privileges and responsibilities of membership. An application form has to be filled in and returned, along with a letter of recommendation from the Chairman of your present TM Centre, to the Reception Office at the Dome, with a completed standing order form for the membership fee, which is £10 a month for an individual, or £14 a month for a couple or family. There is then a brief welcome and orientation interview. We try to keep the formalities of joining to a minimum, while ensuring that new or prospective members are fully informed of all the joys, privileges and responsibilities of membership. of your family who wishes to become a member. This form should be completed
and returned before arriving to take up membership. Membership applications from overseas should also have the form signed by their National Office. Membership approvalOnce your application has been received you will be invited to a meeting with one of the Maharishi European Sidhaland directors at which your application and any practical considerations will be reviewed. Normally you will be given a Visitor's Pass for group super-radiance programme until your membership is formally approved. Associate MembersWe are delighted to welcome new Associate Members of the Maharishi™ European Sidhaland. Currently there are 130+ Associate Members, including visitors to courses and supporters of our education, health and building projects. Benefits of Associate Membership1. FREE DOME PASS. An annual Dome pass so you can meditate or do your TM-Sidhi Programme® free of charge in the Maharishi™ Golden Dome every time you visit. 2. FREE MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION to Transcendental Meditation™ News, the excellent national magazine, published ten times a year. Transcendental Meditation News magazine brings you well-written articles about programmes, courses, and activities of Maharishi's organization in Britain and all around the world. 3. 10% DISCOUNT ON COURSES. Associate Members receive a 10% discount on most courses at the Sidhaland, including all World Peace Assembly courses and the all-year-round Extended Coherence Programme. Services to MembersTranscendental Meditation™ and TM-Sidhi Programme® facilitiesThere is provision of a large pleasant area in the Dome for group practice of the TM-Sidhi programme, and comfortable rooms for group practice of Transcendental Meditation. Changing areas are also provided, with storage cubicles to keep all programme blankets and clothing. Knowledge Meetings and Checking of MeditationA number of weekly knowledge meetings are held in the Dome for Governors, Sidhas and Meditators, with occasional special guest lectures. Checking is always available through the area Council representative. CelebrationsFour seasonal celebrations plus special celebrations, and other occasional social and cultural events. Transcendental Meditation™ NewsA ten issues per year magazine featuring news, reviews, advertising and forthcoming events, plus accounts of all the latest knowledge available through Maharishi's Movement. Advertisements are welcome contact Caroline Kerley on 01695 50460. Maharishi™ European Sidhaland FliersWeekly updates on the calendar of events plus miscellaneous items of general community interest. Members may also advertise in the flier. Advertising copy with payment (10p per word) should be left at Dome Reception by 12 noon on Tuesdays. The Structure of the SidhalandThe Maharishi™ European Sidhaland DirectorsThere are four directors whose responsibility is to supervise the administration of the Sidhaland and link our activities here with those of the national and international Transcendental Meditation™ Movement, ensuring that our community embraces all the latest developments in Maharishi's Movement. Maharishi European Sidhaland CouncilFollowing Maharishi's guidelines for the running of all Centres, the Sidhaland Council is made up of at least ten experienced Governors of the Age of Enlightenment, who collectively represent all the various important projects being pursued within the community. It is their responsibility to see that the Maharishi European Sidhaland runs smoothly and provides the services its members require. They meet on the first Saturday of each month. Any points that members wish to raise should be submitted in writing to Reception in the Dome, one week in advance. The names of the Council members are displayed in the Dome foyer. Community AssembliesAll major issues in the running of the Maharishi European Sidhaland are submitted for wider discussion at Community Assemblies. These now take place from time to time and provide a forum for many valuable suggestions and ideas to be put forward. Working parties and action groups are formed to implement proposals. In addition we have a part-time Membership Secretary, Diane Jedrczak, a Caretaker, and cleaning staff. The telephone switchboard is open, and callers are welcome, between 2 - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
