Roundabout: Straight across, then 3km along single carriageway Roundabout: Turn right, then 250m Roundabout: Straight across, then 300m Roundabout: Straight across (3rd exit), then 40m, turn right into Woodley Park Road You can see the Dome in front of you. The entrance is on Hazel Lane, the road around the right hand side of the building. Please park in the car park in Woodley Park Road, and not on the roadways around the Dome. There is an access road from Hazel Lane for deliveries. BY RAILTrains run every hour from London Euston Station to Wigan North Western. The journey time from London is 2hrs. 45mins. The last train from Euston is 20.30pm. A one-month return Saver ticket is £49.80. For special prices phone 0845 748 4950 three weeks before you travel. Local trains run to Wigan Wallgate Station, Ormskirk or Parbold Station. Ormskirk, and Parbold are closer to Skelmersdale than Wigan, with Parbold the closest. TAXIA Taxi from Wigan Station to the Dome cost £10 from Skelmersdale Taxis (call 01695 50005), or £11 from in front of the station. From Parbold Station a taxi from Skelmersdale Taxis costs £5.00. The nearest payphone to order one is in the pub next to the station. Ask to go to the Dome, in Ashurst, Skelmersdale. BY AIRManchester International Airport is 30-40 minutes by car to Skelmersdale, and 60 minutes by rail to Parbold Station. You can be met at the airport by a taxi, which costs £25 (01695 724349 or 01695 728878). Trains to Parbold are every two hours on weekdays. The cost is £7. A taxi from Parbold Station to the Dome costs £4.50 (01695 50005). If you fly to one of the London airports (Heathrow, Gatwick or Stanstead) you will need to catch a train from London Euston Station to Wigan North West (see details above). |
